      If you’re visiting over Fourth of July, don’t miss the iconic parade through Telluride—it’s full of small-town charm, creative floats, and a fun, festive energy that’s truly special. Throughout the summer and fall, the town also comes alive with incredible festivals like the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, where great music, craft beer, and mountain views make for an unforgettable experience.       Summer in Telluride is nothing short of magical, with endless ways to get outside and explore. From hiking and biking scenic alpine trails to paddleboarding and kayaking at Elk Lake, there’s something for everyone. You can take in breathtaking views on the Telluride Gondola, chase waterfalls like Bridal Veil Falls, or simply stroll through town enjoying the fresh mountain air, local shops, and vibrant energy that makes summer here so special.

    One of our favorite ski days starts with laps off Lift 5, where you’ll find some of the best intermediate terrain and sunshine on the mountain. When it’s time to refuel, we love stopping at Bon Vivant for a cozy European-style lunch, or heading a bit lower to Gorrono Ranch for a more laid-back, lively scene with great food, live music, and views.

    Shopping in Telluride is one of our favorite ways to spend a laid-back afternoon, with a mix of unique boutiques and local gems. We love browsing at Two Skirts for stylish finds, Cashmere Red for cozy mountain-chic pieces, and Jagged Edge Mountain Gear for all things outdoor adventure. For something special to take home, don’t miss Between the Covers Bookstore or Telluride Truffle Artisan Chocolate for the perfect sweet treat.

  • Flying into Montrose? The shuttle to Telluride is an easy, scenic ride that takes the stress out of mountain travel—just sit back, relax, and enjoy the views. To make arrival even smoother, place a grocery order ahead of time with Walmart and schedule it for pickup before heading up. It’s a simple way to stock up on everything you need so you can settle in and start enjoying your stay right away.
